libmpdec-dev software package provides library for decimal floating point arithmetic (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libmpdec-dev
libmpdec-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libmpdec-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libmpdec-dev *
You will get with libmpdec-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
